Broadway Down To 1 Lane During Water Main Construction

AURORA, IL — Broadway will be extra congested for the foreseeable future as a result of a “major” water main construction project.

City officials announced Wednesday morning that North Broadway in downtown Aurora will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Benton Street and Spring Street.

The new water main will improve the quality and function of the water distribution system in Aurora, officials said. The project is expected to be completed before the end of the year, if weather permits.
