Mike Zhou of Aurora (60502) was named to the Fall 2024 Presidential Honor List at New York Institute of Technology. To qualify for this academic achievement, Zhou achieved an impressive GPA during the fall 2024 semester.

Lethzeylee Gutierrez, Class of 2027 of Aurora, was named to the dean's list at Tufts University for the fall 2024 semester. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

Aurora student graduates from Millikin University

Itzel Garcia, of Aurora, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media Marketing from Millikin University.

Itzel was one of 80 graduates recognized during the 2024 Winter Commencement ceremony at the Kirkland Fine Arts Center on Dec. 15, 2024.

UW-Whitewater student from Aurora serves as student teacher

Ashley Monroe, from Aurora, who is studying Physical Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is representing the university as a student teacher during the spring 2025 semester.

Monroe, a student in UW-Whitewater's College of Education and Professional Studies, is serving as a student teacher in the Physical Education programs at Metea Valley High School in the Indian Prairie School District #204 school district(s) through the end of the school year.

"Our students are highly sought after," said Fred Trotter, administrative director in UW-Whitewater's Office of Clinical Experiences. "School districts really appreciate the caliber of our graduates."
