Extreme Heat Prompts Earlier Trash Pickup In Aurora
City officials said Groot will pick up trash and recycling an hour earlier Thursday and Friday.
AURORA, IL — Due to sweltering temperatures in and around Aurora, trash will be collected an hour earlier on Thursday and Friday. In a press release, city officials said Groot Waste Management will begin trash collection at 5 a.m. on these days
Temperatures are expected to reach close to 100 degrees for the remainder of the week, with heat indices as high as 114 degrees on Friday.
