Gas Price Update: Aurora Prices Could Continue Dropping, AAA Says

AURORA, IL — Prices at the pump could see a decline, according to AAA.

As of Thursday, the average price for a gallon of gas in Illinois was $3.54 — that's down 4 cents from a week ago, according to AAA.

At around $3.50 per gallon in Kane County, gas prices were on par with the state average. Nationally, the price per gallon of gas is going for an average of $3.42 Thursday.

“Drivers may have a little more in their wallets as we head toward Valentine’s Day,” Andrew Gross, AAA spokesperson, said in a statement “and if gas demand and oil costs remain low, drivers will likely see pump prices drop through next week.”

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas in Aurora is selling for $3.27 per gallon at Bucky's, 330 N. Eola Road. Here is what other stations around town are charging:
