Halloween In Aurora: Trick-Or-Treating Hours, City Hall-O-Ween Planned
City Hall's annual Halloween event is also returning for the eighth annual year before trick-or-treating hours kick in.

AURORA, IL — Halloween is here, and the City of Aurora set its trick-or-treating hours for 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31.
To start celebrations early— and give kids an additional shot at collecting candy — the city will host its eighth annual City Hall-O-Ween event at Wilder Park, 350 N. River St., a change from previous years to offer more convenient parking.
At the Halloween event, staff from more than 20 City Hall departments dressed in costumes will distribute candy to children from 3-5 p.m. Mayor Richard Irvin, police officers and firefighters are slated to participate.

On top of candy, event-goers can enjoy a DJ spinning beats, a special appearance from an LED robot and an opportunity to take pictures with live snakes, spiders and cockroaches.
Editor's note: This article was updated to reflect trick-or-treating hours last until 7 p.m., not 8 p.m. as previously stated. Patch apologizes for the error.
