New Assistant Principal Named At Schneider Elementary School
The new assistant principal joins West Aurora School District 129 from Oswego's school district where he worked as a fifth-grade teacher.

AURORA, IL — Beginning this fall, a new assistant principal will help oversee Schneider Elementary School in North Aurora.
The West Aurora School District 129 Board of Education voted Aug. 4 to approve Edward Perry's appointment.
Perry brings more than 20 years of experience in education to the position. He most recently served as a fifth-grade teacher at Aurora's Homestead Elementary School, part of the Oswego Community Unit School District 308. In the classroom, the educator focused on differentiated instruction, technology integration and fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments, according to a news release.

Throughout his career, Perry participated in professional learning initiatives and supported school improvement efforts within his school communities, District 129 officials said. Outside of his formal roles, he has also directed youth theater productions and served as a national leadership trainer and speaker.
"I am deeply thankful to the board members and the dedicated team at Schneider for placing their trust in me as the new assistant principal and for the warm, heartfelt welcome to School District 129," Perry said in a statement. "It is a genuine privilege to have the opportunity to contribute to Schneider students' academic growth and to collaborate with exceptional educators and leaders in building a vibrant learning community."

Perry has a master's degree in education with a focus on school improvement leadership from Olivet Nazarene University, a master's in teaching from Aurora University and a bachelor's in theater from Northern Illinois University.
