See When Aurora Farmers Market Opens, What's New For 114th Season
The start of the 114th season of the Aurora Farmers Market is just around the corner.
AURORA, IL — The 114th season of the Aurora Farmers Market is set to open June 7.
Said to be the oldest farmers market in Illinois, the Aurora Farmers Market will return to Water Street Square, 65 S. Water St., from 8 a.m. to noon each Saturday through Oct. 4.
"We are so excited to kick off our 114th season," market manager Felicia Freitag said in a statement. "We have a new layout this year that will help us fit up to 75 vendors — more than we’ve ever had at the Water Street Square location."

Vendors from across the state will bring fresh produce, baked goods, artisan items and more to the weekly market. Food trucks and pop-up coffee vendors will also set up shop.
In addition to a new layout, the farmers market is also introducing the Sprouts Club, an entertainment and activity hub for children that will be open from 9-11 a.m. every Saturday. Activities will promote sustainability and farming and give kids a chance to socialize.

At the Sprouts Club, children will receive a stamp in their activity booklet each week, and after five stamps, they'll have the opportunity to pick out a prize. Along with every stamp, kids will also receive a $5 Sprout Token to use on fruits and vegetables.
The market will continue its partnership with LinkUp Illinois to allow Link card users to double their funds and receive tokens and vouchers redeemable at eligible vendors.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Wednesday starting July 2, the Aurora Farmers Market will be set up on the city's west side. Officials said the exact location has yet to be determined. The mid-week market will run through Aug. 20.
