Rosary National Honor Society Hosts Senior Citizen Prom

Western-themed event held at Greenfields in Geneva

Rosary High School’s National Honor Society was proud to host its second annual "Senior Prom" for the residents of Greenfields living community in Geneva on April 15, 2025. This year's standing-room-only event had a Western theme and featured music from the Marmion-Rosary Jazz band.

Ed and Bernadette Bergman were crowned King and Queen of the prom. "They cried and smiled with delight as they were crowned," said Mrs. Sarah Hoying, NHS advisor. "I was impressed with the Rosary young ladies," she said. "They truly represented Rosary High School’s motto of Veritas—showing love, integrity and truth in all their interactions with the residents."

Rosary NHS members held their first Senior Citizen Prom in the Spring of 2024, also at Greenfields. Rosary's NHS chapter was presented with a Service Award of Excellence from the national organization for this event and for their annual Trick-or-Treat event for the community. This award is granted to chapters making a significant imprint on their community through service projects and activities which demonstrate a selfless spirit.
