324 Pounds of Cannabis Seized by Kane County Sheriff's Police
The street value of the drugs was $3,200,000. Deputies also seized approximately $3,100 cash.

A 36-year-old North Carolina man is in custody Thursday following an incident at the Super 8 Hotel in Hampshire. Hamshire is in Kane County. Police reported to the location in the 100 block of Arrowhead Drive at 8 a.m., Feb. 12. Police called in a K9 team from the Sheriff’s Office after Levi Blalock, 36, began giving conflicting reports to police.
The K9 gave positive indication for narcotics in the 2015 GMC Sierra pick-up that belongs to Blalock.
“ A search of the vehicle revealed 15 large garbage bags in the enclosed bed of the truck,” a written release from Kane County Sheriff’s Police stated. “Inside the bags were a total of 296 smaller bags containing suspected cannabis.”

Once all the packages were weighed, police reported there was a total of approximately 354 pounds of high grade cannabis worth an estimated street value of $3,200,000. Deputies also seized approximately $3,100 cash.
Blalock, of the 200 block of Buckhorn Road in Moncure, North Carolina is being held at the Kane County Adult Corrections Center. He was arrested on charges of cannabis trafficking, unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of cannabis.
