Lane Closures on Route 38 to Begin in Late March

The resurfacing project will effect residents in Geneva, St. Charles and those using Route 38 from Illinois 47 east.

Among the resurfacing projects planned to begin in late March is a resurfacing project that begins at the western border of Kane County and continues eastward into downtown Geneva.

The start date is dependent on weather.

“Motorists should expect temporary lane and parking closures on State Street (Route 38) once crews reach Geneva,” the City of Geneva Web site states. “Two lanes (one in each direction) will remain open for drivers at all times on State Street, but people wanting to avoid the construction zone can take Fabyan Parkway as an alternate route.”
