• 2 injured after 77-year-old man crashes Jeep into Batavia Rosati's (wgntv.com) — Two employees were injured when a 77-year-old driver accidentally drove his Jeep through the front of Rosati’s Pizza on East Wilson Street in Batavia on Christmas Eve, causing major damage. Both workers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and Batavia police are asking any witnesses to the crash to contact them as they investigate possible mechanical and medical factors.
   

• Man claims self-defense after allegedly stabbing wife repeatedly and beating her with a hammer (lawandcrime.com) — Batavia police say a woman died after a violent attack in an apartment on Church Street, and her husband is charged with first-degree murder. Authorities allege she suffered multiple stab wounds and blunt-force injuries, while the defendant has claimed self-defense and remains held without bond pending a January 2 court appearance.
