• NIU joins national quantum research effort led by Fermilab (niutoday.info) — Northern Illinois residents may be interested that NIU is deepening its partnership with Fermilab in nearby Batavia, Ill., joining a national quantum research center funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. The collaboration will support NIU graduate students, expand quantum science programs, and leverage the short 45‑minute distance to Fermilab for frequent hands-on work with cutting-edge superconducting quantum devices.
