43-Year-Old Man Charged With Felony Gun Possession In Morgan Park
Chicago police tactical officers saw a man they said was acting suspiciously.

CHICAGO — A report of a suspicious person in Morgan Park led to the arrest of a man armed with a gun, Chicago police said. Jamel Jackson, 43, has been charged with felony gun possession.
CPD tactical officers from the 22nd District observed a man, later identified as Jackson, they said was acting suspiciously in the 2600 block of West 111th St. After a brief foot chase, Jackson was apprehended and taken into custody, police said.
The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved charges against Jackson for felony gun possession. Jackson’s next court date will be Tuesday, May 27, in Branch 38, 727 E. 111th St. He will remain in custody at the Cook County Department of Corrections.
