Chicago Ag School Students in Paris Are Safe
CPS has several school groups in France, including elementary students. All are accounted for and safe after Friday's terrorist attacks.

Students and teachers from the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences in Mount Greenwood and Lincoln Elementary School in Lincoln Park are in Paris on school trips, according to Chicago Public School, and all students are safe.
Twenty-two students and five teachers from the Ag School are in Paris, arriving earlier Friday.

Ag School Principal William Hook posted this statement on the school’s website: “All of our CHSAS family in Paris, France are safe and together. We are working with authorities to make sure that they remain safe. Our thoughts and prayers go to the people of France.”
An update was also posted to Facebook, saying all families have been contacted.

ABC 7 Chicago is reporting students from Chicago’s LaSalle Language Academy are also in France but staying outside of Paris.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel issued this statement Friday:
“Tonight the city of Chicago stands shoulder to shoulder with the city of Paris in the wake of today’s despicable and horrifying attacks. For nearly 20 years Chicago and Paris have been sister cities, united by a free and rich exchange of culture. I speak for all Chicago when I say that we are saddened and sickened by what has taken place tonight and our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims, their families, and with all of the French people.”
