CHICAGO SOUTHLAND — High school football season has reached the third round of the IHSA playoffs, and fans of a number of schools in Chicago's south suburbs and on the South Side of the city remain excited that this could be their school's year to win a state championship. For the week of Friday, Nov. 15, the third week of the IHSA playoffs, keep an eye on the teams listed below who still have their sights set on a state championship. Two match-ups this weekend are between Southland foes: Homewood-Flossmoor at Lincoln-Way East and St. Rita at Hillcrest.
