Man Killed When Metra Train Hits Car on South Side

The train struck the car at 119th and Marshfield Avenue Sunday evening.

A Metra train struck a car Sunday evening near 119th Street and Marshfield Avenue on Chicago's South Side, according to the Chicago Fire Department, killing one man. The Rock Island District commuter train departed Joliet at 6:15 p.m. and hit the car shortly after 7 p.m. Subsequent trains were delayed as the crash was under investigation.
