Photos: An Ice Cream Social at McKiernan Park

A Wednesday afternoon in September might not be the most expected time for an ice cream social, but the warm weather and precocious crowd combined to make it a success. 

On Sept. 25 Ald. Matt O'Shea, Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Fran Hurley put on the neighborhood event that gave local kids the chance to play good old fashioned hames like musical chairs and hula hoop while enjoying the company of their neighbors.
