Hosted by SXU's Office of Family and Community Engagement, the community health fair aims to promote health education, connect individuals with vital resources, and raise awareness about local resources, especially for populations that may face barriers to care or information. By bringing together health care providers, nonprofit organizations, and service agencies, SXU hopes to foster collaboration, reduce health disparities, and empower individuals to take charge of their well-being.
The office's goal is to foster healthier lives, build stronger connections, and provide hope and support for a thriving, informed, and resilient community, said Imelda Macías, Ed.D., assistant vice president of the Office of Family and Community Engagement.

“In addition to having local resources and services at the event, our students in the different health-related programs at SXU will also be on-site providing essential services,” Macias said. “This is a unique opportunity for you to witness their dedication and skill, and for the students to begin engaging with the communities that they will ultimately serve.”
