CHICAGO – Saint Xavier University is responding to FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) challenges by offering a Fall II start for students who were unable to start college at the traditional August start date due to FAFSA delays.

Some recent high school graduates may have delayed their college enrollment due to the delays of implementing the FAFSA. The Fall II semester allows students to enroll now and begin progress toward their degree, starting with two general education courses applicable to all SXU programs. Students who start in Fall II will likely begin with a part-time schedule, but students will have the option to take winter and summer classes to catch up before the next academic year begins in fall 2025.

State and federal financial aid is available for those who qualify. Students who enroll full-time in spring will receive a merit scholarship.

Multiple start term options are also attractive to returning adult students who often must balance their education pursuits with work and family responsibilities. SXU’s business fast-track program offers five different start options per year, consisting of eight-week accelerated online courses. SXU also offers robust summer offerings to assist all students in their progression toward a college degree.

“Mission-focused and student-centered, Saint Xavier is committed to leveraging every available resource to provide transformative, affordable educational opportunities for students. Advisors are ready to assist students through every step of the process,” the admissions office said in a news release.
