The Veteran's Assistance Commission of Cook County is named grand marshal of the Beverly-Mt. Greenwood Memorial Day Parade, Monday, May 26.

CHICAGO — A small but dynamic agency offering direct and immediate help to veterans will lead the Beverly Area Planning Association’s Beverly/Morgan Park Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26. The Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County has been tapped as grand marshal.

The parade immediately follows BAPA’s Ridge Run route down Longwood Drive, stepping off about 10 a.m. from 110th Street and marching north to Ridge Park.

The 2025 Memorial Day Parade line up features Jesse White Tumblers, the Girl and Boy Scouts, military vehicles, classic cars and a lot more.

The community’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. on the Ridge Run stage at Ridge Park, 9625 S. Longwood Drive. The solemn remembrance includes recognition of the parade Grand Marshal, the laying of the wreath and taps.

The Beverly/Morgan Park Parade is the oldest neighborhood Memorial Day Parade in Chicago. It follows BAPA’s popular Ridge Run 10K and 5K race. Generations of local families have gathered along Longwood Drive to watch the one-of-a-kind parade.

This year, it will feature military vehicles, the Morgan Park High School JROTC, the Patriot Guard Riders, scout troops, floats, antique vehicles, and lots more, with the amazing Jesse White Tumbling Team providing the grand finale. Area families, businesses, institutions, groups and others are invited to participate in the parade.
