• 98 Percent Of Survey Respondents Feel Safe In Buffalo Grove: Police (patch.com) — Buffalo Grove residents and business owners report feeling very safe, with over 98 percent saying they feel secure at home or work and nearly 97 percent comfortable walking in their neighborhoods. The Buffalo Grove Police Department’s biennial survey also shows strong satisfaction with overall police performance, and leaders say the feedback will shape future community policing goals and improvements.
   

• Buffalo Grove Social Worker Carolyn Lewis Honored As Bill Reid Award Recipient (patch.com) — A Buffalo Grove social worker, Carolyn Lewis, has been honored with the 2024 Bill Reid Community Service Award for her long-term service to the village. Recognized at the Jan. 5 Village Board meeting, she supports local students, Rotary programs, and regional mental health efforts, and a $500 donation will be made in her name to charity.
