Buffalo Grove Police Announce Holiday Traffic Safety Campaign Results (patch.com) — Buffalo Grove residents can see the results of the police department’s recent holiday traffic safety push, which ran from December 12 through January 5. Local officers issued 79 citations for seat belt, speeding, distracted, and impaired driving violations as part of statewide “Drive Sober” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns supported by IDOT and federal safety funds.
   

2. College Credits: Buffalo Grove Resident Named To President's List At SNHU (patch.com) — Buffalo Grove readers can celebrate local student Daniel Yun, who earned a spot on Southern New Hampshire University’s Fall 2025 President’s List. The recognition goes to full-time undergraduates who complete at least 12 credits and maintain a GPA of 3.7 or higher during the term.
   

3. Phase 1 For Chase Plaza Overhaul Gets Green Light (journal-topics.com) — Village trustees have approved the first phase of a major overhaul of Chase Plaza at Lake Cook and Arlington Heights roads, bringing a new Club Studio health club, refreshed façade, and added EV chargers to Buffalo Grove. Future phases aim to transform the aging shopping center into a larger mixed-use development, with potential drive-through restaurants and further upgrades still to be reviewed.
   

4. Palatine Grabs 2nd At 70th Annual Berman Holiday Classic (journal-topics.com) — Buffalo Grove wrestling made a strong showing at Palatine’s 70th Berman Holiday Classic, led by Mykola Shamray’s undefeated run to the 126-pound title. Several other Bison grapplers placed in the top eight, helping Buffalo Grove finish solidly in the team standings against strong competition from around the region.
