Resident Nabbed On 3 Counts Of Illegal Gun Possession: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

ARRESTS

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

• Brian O. Saint, 29, of the 1000 block of E. Evergreen St., Wheaton, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended, and was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Jan. 1, in the 1000 block of N. Johnson Drive. A court date of Feb. 13 was assigned.
• Alyson L. Kennedy, 50, of the 900 block of Knollwood Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of driving on a suspended license, driving with expired plates, and was arrested at 5:13 p.m. Jan. 2, at Deerfield and Bush parkways. A court date of Jan. 16 was assigned.
• Oriana N. Vielma Contreras, 28, of the 10000 block of W. Holly Lane, Des Plaines, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended, and was arrested at 8 p.m. Jan. 2, in the 0-10 block of Brucewood Court. A court date of Jan. 16 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

• Kelly M. Hansen, 40, of the 4300 block of N. New England Avenue, Harwood Heights, is accused of driving under the influence, speeding, and was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Jan. 2, at Buffalo Grove and Port Clinton roads. A court date of Jan. 21 was assigned.
• Anna E. Palmer, 47, of the 1200 block of Trinity Place, Libertyville, is accused of DUI, driving too fast for conditions, and was arrested Jan. 3 at Milwaukee Avenue and Johnson Drive. A court date of Jan. 21 was assigned.

POSSESSION OF A FIREARM

Lewis J. Faytus, 34, of the 0 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, is accused of three counts of possession of a firearm without a FOID card, possession of firearm ammunition without a FOID card, and was arrested at 12:04 p.m. Jan. 3, in the 70 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road. A court date of Jan. 28 was assigned.

A resident of the 10 block of Oak Creek Drive reported that between midnight and 12:44 p.m., Jan. 4, someone had removed the catalytic converter from a Hyundai Elantra.
