Teatro ZinZanni Chicago is thrilled to announce the return of two powerhouse performers and beloved veterans of the ZinZanni universe: Christine Deaver and Cassie Cutler. Both artists will perform through Oct. 5, 2025, bringing with them bold new characters, show-stopping talent, and the signature ZinZanni magic fans have come to love.
Christine is a celebrated actor, singer, writer, and voiceover artist who has captivated ZinZanni audiences in Seattle, San Francisco, and now for her third time in Chicago. Christine Deaver brings two original and hilarious characters to life: Tina Romanelli, a brassy, over-the-top New Jersey visitor obsessed with finding the new Popeβs Chicago roots and Casanova, Italyβs βgrrreatest loverrr,β making his debut on the Chicago stage.
Cassie Cutler is making her return to the Chicago tent after thrilling audiences in previous seasons. Known for her incredible physical artistry and aerial grace, Cassie debuts a daring βbottle walkβ and a brand-new solo dance trapeze act performed on straps, her very own βstrapeze.β

Christine Deaver is an actor, singer, writer, director, and voiceover artist. She has worked with Teatro ZinZanni for numerous years and has created and performed a plethora of unique characters in Seattle, San Francisco, and Chicago. She has worked extensively in theater, film and television in Los Angeles and abroad and is a recipient of numerous Garland, Ovation, and LA Weekly awards for her work in the theater. She has written and performed several one-woman shows and has toured them across North America, Asia, Europe, and Mexico. Christine recently performed in her latest cabaret show βBig & Brassyβ in Puerto Vallarta.. She is thrilled to be back in Chicago and is a big fan of Chicago dogs and Italian beef sandwiches.
Cassie Cutler is so happy to be back in her favorite tent. Starting her 4th season with Teatro Zinzanni, she is excited to bring a new act and a new character to life. Cassie grew up as a gymnast in Los Angeles and she learned very early on that she never wanted to stop flipping. Soon after, she began traveling the world, dangling from ceilings and learning all she could. Since then she has worked as half of Duo 19 and she has performed in shows such as Pippin the Musical, Palazzo Vienna, Circus Roncalli, Circus Monti, Bacio Rosso, Circus Sarasota, and, of course, Teatro Zinzanni.

For over 26 years, Teatro ZinZanni has welcomed audiences to intimately staged productions featuring over-the-top theatrics paired with lavish food and drink. Founded in Seattle in 1998, Teatro ZinZanniβs productions unify the immeasurable talents from the best-of cirque, music, comedy, magic, and entertainment.
In 2019, Teatro ZinZanniβs signature antique Speigeltent was erected on the 14th floor of the Cambria Hotel in downtown Chicago, and TZ opened their first show in July of that year in the heart of Chicagoβs Theatre District. In April 2025, Teatro ZinZanni announced a permanent residency of their signature show in Chicago, as well as Club ZinZanni, a presenting series highlighting the best of Chicago, national, and international talent β from music to drag to comedy to magic to cirque.
Each Teatro ZinZanni performance is distinctly interactive and playful: to attend Teatro ZinZanni is to be a part of Teatro ZinZanni. As of today, Teatro ZinZanni has entertained over 2 million guests and has staged over 120 distinctive original productions.
