2 Retail Thefts Reported at TJ Maxx, HomeGoods In 1 Day

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove police recently responded to two retail thefts in just a matter of hours at the TJ Maxx & HomeGoods store at 7349 Lemont Rd.

Officers were called to the store around 2:10 p.m. on Sept. 13 for a report of a retail theft. Employees told police that a man came into the store, grabbed merchandise, and then left the premises without paying. The total loss was estimated at $464.71.

Around 4:47 p.m., police were again called to the store for a reported retail theft. When officers got to the scene, employees told them three women had entered the store and taken merchandise without paying. The total loss was estimated at $2,551.79.
