Accused Child Porn Distributor Had Thousands of Illegal Images: Prosecutors
Police tracked a suspicious IP address to Anthony Damaska's home in Downers Grove.

Bail was set at $100,000 Wednesday for a Downers Grove man accused of possession and distribution of child pornography.
Anthony Damaska, 28 of the 600 block of Sherman Street in Downers Grove, is charged with two counts of dissemination of child pornography, a Class X felony, and two counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 2 felony, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Naperville Police Department authorities in August 2015 began tracking a Downers Grove IP address, which had a high volume of suspected child pornography downloads. The IP address reportedly led to Damaska’s home. With a search warrant, detectives “discovered that he allegedly possessed thousands of images containing child pornography,” the state’s attorney’s office reported.

“Child pornography is not a victimless crime,” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin in a statement. “Every image and every video allegedly possessed by Mr. Damaska represents yet another innocent victim of child pornography. The filing of today’s charges against Mr. Damaska sends the message that my office stands ready and will not hesitate to vigorously prosecute any allegations of child pornography.”
