Downers Grove Woman Killed in Car Crash; Firefighter Charged with Reckless Homicide
Patrick Bruce, of Oak Forest, faces reckless homicide charges in a crash that killed 25-year-old Anasis Knox on Friday, according to reports.
The group endorsed Bob Barnett, Marilyn Schnell and Greg Hosé in the village council race. Henry Jakobsze, Terry Pavesich, Julia Beckman and Rick Pavinato were backed for the District 99 Board of Education.

Washington Street Barber Shop Celebrates 10th Anniversary in Downers Grove
The downtown shop, owned by longtime friends and co-workers Sandie Agee and Geri Hulbert, is hosting a party Saturday to celebrate the milestone.
Authorities said Lt. Pat Bruce was off duty and driving his personal vehicle in a crash that killed a 25-year-old Downers Grove woman Friday. He faces three charges in relation to the accident.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave.
