Elgin Police Seek Information On Shooting Near Abbott, Getzelman

Police said after the shooting was reported, they were notified of an injured person walking into a local hospital.

ELGIN, IL — The Elgin Police Department is investigating a shooting in the area of Getzelman and Abbott Drive in Elgin. Early Tuesday morning, police said they were notified following the shooting that a person had walked into an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said detectives from the Major Investigations Division are investigating the shooting and ask anyone with information or video that could help authorities to call 847-289-2600 or text ELGINPD along with a tip to 847411.
