Schaumburg Resident ID'd As Victim In Fatal Crash: Coroner

Preliminary findings, pending toxicology results, indicated a heart-related event took place before the crash, the coroner's office said.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Coroner's Office has identified a Schaumburg resident as the victim of a fatal Memorial Day weekend vehicle crash. According to a release, the coroner's office was called to Advocate Sherman Hospital at 12:30 a.m. for a report of a vehicle crash death, where officials pronounced 63-year-old Laddie Nudera dead. According to the coroner's office, Nudera was then taken to the Kane County Morgue where an autopsy was conducted Tuesday.

Pending toxicology results, the preliminary findings indicated a heart-related event took place before the crash, causing the driver to lose control (and possibly consciousness) and crash, according to the coroner's office.

The Kane County Coroner’s Office is cooperating with the Elgin Police Department in the ongoing investigation of this incident, a release said.
