Aggravated Battery At Elmhurst Movie Theater: Cops
In another case, an Elmhurst man made a false 911 call, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of aggravated battery, filing a false report, disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of a gun, burglary and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:
Aggravated battery
- Delbert T. Patterson, 62, of Chicago, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Classic Cinemas Theatre, 150 N. York St., on a charge of aggravated battery in a public place of amusement. He was released. Police provided no other information about the incident in their blotter; Patch has filed a public records request.
False report

- A 20-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 400 block of South Hawthorne Avenue was arrested about 3 a.m. Sunday on charges of attempted possession of a fraudulent driver's license or permit, disorderly conduct (false report), and possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was stopped at Randolph Street and Sunnyside Avenue. Police said made a false 911 call. He was released.
Disorderly conduct
- A 68-year-old Arlington Heights man was arrested about 9 p.m. Wednesday at First Street and Commerce Avenue on a disorderly conduct charge. He was accused of making a threat. He was released.

- A 31-year-old Tallahassee, Florida, man was arrested about 4 a.m. Saturday at Courtyard Marriott hotel, 370 N. Route 83, on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. After a report of a suspicious driver, the man was found with a loaded gun. He was released.
Burglary
- Venus A. Pearson, 48, of Brookfield, was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of burglary and attempted retail theft. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- A 35-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 11 p.m. Thursday at North and Berteau avenues on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, no valid driver's license, driving an uninsured car, possession of open alcohol by a driver and driving a car with suspended plates. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 33-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Robert Palmer Drive and York Street on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, stopping in the roadway and improper window tinting. She was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 39-year-old Glendale Heights man was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at York Street and North End Avenue on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage. He was taken to the police station and then released.
Soliciting without a permit
- A 26-year-old Bartlett man and a 33-year-old Cicero man were cited about noon Friday in the 200 block of North Geneva Avenue on charges of soliciting without a permit.
