Burglary, Refusal To Leave: Elmhurst Cops
A man and a woman were accused of burglary after stealing from a local store, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving burglary, a refusal to leave, soliciting without a license, violating an order of protection, retail theft, a false alarm and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Burglary
- Anthony J. Arnone, 38, of Riverside, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on charges of burglary, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft. Jennifer Brown, 29, of Riverside, was arrested on charges of burglary and retail theft. Police said they stole items from Jewel, 944 S. York St. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Refusal to leave

- Police were called shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday when a person refused to leave Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave. The library closes at 9 p.m. The person was served with a no-trespass notice.
Soliciting without a license
- A 46-year-old Bartlett man and a 36-year-old Franklin Park man were cited about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Huntington Lane and Park Avenue on charges of soliciting without a license.

- A 19-year-old man who lives in an apartment complex in the 800 block of North York Street was arrested about 2 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of violating an order of protection. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Retail theft
- Braden L. Licko, 62, of Franklin Park, and Jan Licko-Rodriguez, 57, of Northlake, were arrested about 4 p.m. Tuesday on felony retail theft charges. They were accused of stealing merchandise from Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Police were called about a retail theft about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave. Police determined the man suffered from dementia and didn't pay. The man was served with a no-trespass notice and escorted home.
False alarm
- A man set off a fire alarm about 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. Officers were unable to find the man.
Threatening messages
- A resident in the 500 block of West Armitage Avenue told police Tuesday that someone sent threatening messages to him. An investigation is pending.
Fall
- A person fell about 9 p.m. Wednesday at Buffalo Wild Wings, 149 N. York St. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
DUI
- A 34-year-old Villa Park woman was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of West North Avenue on charges of DUI (drugs) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they were called about an unconscious person behind the wheel. Additional charges are pending lab results. The woman was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 51-year-old Woodridge man was arrested about 8 p.m. Wednesday at North Avenue and Route 83 on charges of DUI, possession of open alcohol, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured car. Police said they responded to a crash. The man was taken to the police station and then released.
