City Encourages Participation in the Pace North Avenue Corridor Study

Elmhurst, IL - The City of Elmhurst encourages residents, business owners, and the employees of local businesses to participate in a quick survey for The Pace North Avenue Corridor Study.

Funded by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), this effort includes collaboration with nine corridor communities between Harlem Avenue and York Street to address pedestrian access issues, transit connections, traffic conditions and economic development opportunities.
Participation in the quick survey and/or with the interactive mapping tool by Elmhurst residents, business owners, and the employees of local businesses is critical and will benefit not only those conducting the study, but the Elmhurst community as well. The section of North Avenue that runs through Elmhurst is being looked at as a potential Rapid Transit Route in the future with minimal stops to help move workforce and users in and out of communities as well as promote economic development. The website, www.northavenuecorridorstudy.com hosts the survey, a “share an idea” link, gallery of the study area, and comment map as well as additional information of the project itself.
