Cops Catch Accused Burglar After Stolen Car Crashes on I-290
Police are still investigating a Valentine's Day home burglary in Oak Brook, in which two cars and other items were reported stolen.

Oak Brook, IL - A Chicago man was arrested on Valentine’s Day and charged with home burglary and possession of a stolen car after a crash on Interstate 290.
Oak Brook police were called around 10:30 a.m. Feb. 14 to Deer Trail Lane for a reported residential burglary.
Police found burglars had forced entry through a side door of the home, and several items were reported missing, including two cars, according to Oak Brook police.

The stolen cars were later seen driving recklessly on eastbound Interstate 290, police reported. One of the cars crashed on I-290 near Central Avenue, and the second car fled the scene.
The driver, Anthony Fields, 24 of the 7900 block of S. Paulina Street in Chicago, was injured in the crash, according to police.

Fields has been charged with residential burglary, a class 1 felony, and unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle, a class 2 felony, police reported. His bail was set at $40,000.
The Oak Brook Police Department is continuing the investigation.
