Elmhurst Awards More Than $100K in Community Grants

Grants were awarded to 15 local organizations.

Elmhurst, IL - Community grants totaling $133,995 have been allotted to 15 local organizations for the 2016 program.

The city council unanimously approved the Public Affairs and Safety Committee's grant recommendations March 21, according to Suburban Life.

The largest grant was awarded to the Elmhurst Symphony, which received $25,000 to help fund this year's concerts, , according to city documents.

The Elmhurst Art Museum will receive $20,317 to help fund a new exhibit, "Blow Up: Inflatable Contemporary Art" which is expected to run from Sept. 10 to Jan. 8, 2017.
