Man Charged In Villa Park Carjacking At Fast Food Restaurant: Cops

The incident occurred a couple of months ago, police said. The man was arrested Saturday.

VILLA PARK, IL – A man has been arrested in a carjacking that occurred two months ago at Taco Bell in Villa Park, authorities said Monday.

Demitrious Green, 33, of Oak Park, was charged with felony vehicular hijacking, police said.

About 9:30 p.m. April 6, a woman stayed in a car at Taco Bell while two others went inside the restaurant, according to a news release from DuPage County prosecutors.

Green ordered the woman to "get the f– out" of the car, which she did, police said. Green was alleged to have held his hand under his coat in his waistband during the incident.

Her friends then left the restaurant and approached the car. Green ordered them to "stay the f– back," prosecutors said.

Green then entered the car and drove away, police said.

Green was arrested Saturday.

A DuPage County judge granted prosecutors' request to hold Green in jail until his trial.
