Man Spits At Woman In Elmhurst Road Rage: Cops
In another case, a drunken Elmhurst man drives away from a crash, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In another case, Elmhurst police handled cases involving road rage, a DUI, domestic battery, retail theft, drinking in public and soliciting without a permit. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Road rage
- A road rage incident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Robert Palmer Drive and Schiller Street. Police said a man got out of his car and spat on a woman's face in another car. Charges are pending. The incident was listed as disorderly conduct.
DUI

- A 32-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of South Poplar Avenue was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Charles Road and York Street on charges of DUI, leaving the scene of a crash and failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash. He was taken to the police station and then released.
Domestic battery
- A 21-year-old Maywood man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at Chipotle Mexican Grill, 353 S. Route 83, on two counts of domestic battery. Police said he admitted to the crime. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Retail theft

- A 37-year-old Miami woman was arrested Monday on charges of retail theft and obstruction of identification. She was also wanted on two Cook County warrants charging failure to appear in court. Police said the incident occurred about 7 p.m. June 17 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Drinking in public
- A 25-year-old Hillside woman was cited about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., on a charge of possessing alcohol in public. She was released.
Soliciting without a permit
- A 19-year-old Mount Prospect man was cited about 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of South Arlington Avenue on a charge of soliciting without a permit.
Missing
- A man in the 100 block of West Eggleston Avenue was concerned that he could not get in touch with his wife about 11 p.m. Tuesday. Officers found her outside her house.
