'Neighborhood Junk Collector' Steals Lawn Decor

Elmhurst, IL - A self-proclaimed "neighborhood junk collector" stole a handmade metal lawn decoration, leaving only a note in its place.

The decoration was taken March 21 from the 500 block of North Howard Avenue, according to Elmhurst police.

The note contained a phone number and told the decoration's owner to call if he had any more "scrap metal." Police called the phone number but got a busy signal.
