Rabbi Steven Bob to Give Holocaust Lecture at Elmhurst College
Rabbi Steven Bob will speak April 17 at the 25th anniversary of Holocaust education at Elmhurst College.

Elmhurst, IL - After more than 30 years, Rabbi Steven Bob is retiring this year as senior rabbi of Congregation Etz Chaim of DuPage County, which serves more than 500 families in the western suburbs. He also is an adjunct faculty member at Elmhurst College, where he is the Jewish chaplain and a founder of the Holocaust Education Program.

Rabbi Bob will present “Understanding the Holocaust” on April 17 at Elmhurst College, part of a commemoration of 25 years of holocaust education at the College.
Rabbi Bob has served Congregation Etz Chaim, in Lombard, since 1981. His involvement and leadership in the wider community includes chairing the DuPage Interfaith Resource Network and serving as recording secretary of the Central Conference of American Rabbis. He is a leader of the faculty of Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute and a recipient of the Samuel Cook Award for Lifetime Achievement in Youth Work. Rabbi Bob also is recognized as an expert on Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The Service of Remembrance and Holocaust Lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m.on Sunday, April 17, in the Founders Lounge of the Frick Center (190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst, www.elmhurst.edu/campusmap). Admission is free. For more information, call the Office of the Chaplain at (630) 617-3025.
