ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, retail theft, trespassing and DUI. Here's information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Domestic battery

  • A 28-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 200 block of North West Avenue was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Friday at her house on a domestic battery charge. Police said the woman slapped another person in a dispute. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Retail theft

  • A 23-year-old Berwyn woman and a 25-year-old Chicago woman were arrested about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive, on retail theft charges. They were released.

Trespassing

  • A 49-year-old Lincolnwood woman was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., on a criminal trespassing charge. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • A 42-year-old Northlake woman was arrested about 6 p.m. Saturday at Grand Avenue and County Line Road on charges of DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving an uninsured car. She was taken to the police station and then released.
