Strangers Asleep In Elmhurst House: Cops

The suspects said they entered through an unlocked back door, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Two strangers were found sleeping inside a house early Monday morning, police said.

The incident occurred in the 400 block of West Fremont Avenue, police said.

The suspects told the residents that they believed the house belonged to a friend and that they had entered through an unlocked back door, police said.

The residents told officers that the suspects left without any problems when asked to do so. They were believed to have been in the house for three hours, starting shortly after 2 a.m.

An investigation continues, police said.
