Threat of Rain in Forecast for Halloween Night

We've had some beautiful fall weather this past weekend, but will those sunny skies be around for this week's Trick-or-treat festivities?

Official trick-or-treating for Elmhurst kids begins right after school, at 3:30 p.m., and goes until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Unfortunately, a chance of rain might have your little ghosts and ghouls carrying umbrellas. Indeed, umbrellas are not very scary.

The National Weather Service says Thursday in Elmhurst will come with a 50 percent chance of rain and thundershowers and a high of 59 degrees. In fact, early forecast models show Wednesday and Thursday as the dreariest days of the week. The chance of rain drops down to 10 percent Thursday night, with a low of 43.

"Dreary" suits Halloween. If the rain can hold off it will be perfect.
