'Trusted Family Member' Sentenced for Sex Crimes Against Young Relatives

An Addison man who pleaded guilty to sexual assault and sexual abuse of two young girls has been sentenced to 15 years.

Addison, IL - An Addison man has been sentenced to 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for having inappropriate sexual contact with two underage female relatives.

Martin Villanueva, 33, pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a class 2 felony, and to predatory criminal sexual assault, a class X felony, for having inappropriate sexual contact with two minor female relatives, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

“Time and time again, Martin Villanueva had sexual contact with his two young victims just to satisfy his deviant sexual desires,” said DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin in a statement. “These two girls were living a nightmare at the hands of a trusted family member. It is my sincerest hope that they will be able fully recover from the physical and emotional harm that Mr. Villanueva has inflicted upon them."
