Two Planes Slide on O'Hare Runway, Taxiway

Tuesday's winter storm caused airlines at O'Hare to cancel more than 375 flights.

Chicago, IL - A small private jet reportedly slid after landing Tuesday on a snowy O’Hare International Airport runway, and minutes later an American Airlines plane called for a tow after sliding on a taxiway.

No one was injured when the private Embraer Phenom E55p jet landed after noon and slid on runway 9L/27R, FAA spokeswoman Elizabeth Isham Cory told the Chicago Tribune.

Soon after, the pilot of a McDonnell Douglas MD-83, operated as an American Airlines flight, slid on Taxiway J and asked for a tow to the terminal, the Tribune reports.
