Where Elmhurst Cracked Down On Fireworks
Nine men were cited by local officers on the Fourth of July.
ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police charged nine men with fireworks possession on the Fourth of July.
Here's when and where the arrests were made:
- A 48-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of South Edgewood Avenue, about 4:30 p.m. at his house. Police said they saw fireworks in the front yard.
- A 53-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of West Third Street, about 9 p.m. at his house. Police said he admitted to using fireworks.
- A 33-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of West Third Street, about 9 p.m. at his house. Police said he admitted to using fireworks.
- A 44-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 300 block of North Ridgeland Avenue, about 9 p.m. at his house. Police said he admitted to using fireworks.
- A 58-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 400 block of North Ida Lane, about 9:30 p.m. at his house.
- A 21-year-old unincorporated Elmhurst man, about 11:30 p.m. at Orchard Street and Kenilworth Avenue. Police said he admitted to using fireworks.
- A 19-year-old Chicago man, about 11:30 p.m. in the 300 block of East Butterfield Road. Police said he admitted to using fireworks.
- A 27-year-old Glendale Heights man and a 26-year-old Villa Park man, about 8 p.m. at St. Charles Road and Pick Street.
