Woman Accused Of Kicking Elmhurst Apartment Worker: Police

She has been charged with criminal trespassing twice in the last few days, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police have arrested people on charges of trespassing, battery, retail theft and DUI. Here is information from Elmhurst's latest arrest log:

Trespassing, battery

  • A 49-year-old Lincolnwood woman was arrested May 1 on charges of battery and criminal trespassing. Police said she entered the Vyne on Haven apartment complex at 100 Haven Road, even though she had been issued a no-trespass order to stay off the property. When an employee confronted her, she kicked him several times in the foot, police said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. A couple of days later, she was arrested on a criminal trespassing charge at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St. She was jailed in that instance as well.

Retail theft

  • A 56-year-old Evanston man was arrested about 9 p.m. Monday on a retail theft charge. Police said the man was seen concealing items in his jacket as he was leaving Jewel, 944 S. York St. The man admitted to stealing two liquor bottles, police said. He was released.
  • A 32-year-old Melrose Park man was arrested about 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on a retail theft charge. He was released.

DUI

  • A 37-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 100 block of Fellows Court was arrested about 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of West St. Charles Road on a DUI charge. He was taken to the police station and then released.
