Aurelio's Celebrates Pizza Month With Donations For Books
The pizza chain will donate $1 for every pizza boxtop redeemed at its locations.
FRANKFORT, IL — National Pizza Month and National Book Month are both in October. And to celebrate, Aurelio's Pizza has teamed up with Bernie's Book Bank to help provide books to children.
For every Aurelio's Pizza boxtop redeemed at its restaurants, Aurelio's will donate $1 to Bernie's Book Bank, according to a new release.
"Anytime we can give back to the community is a plus," said Frankfort Aurelio's owner Joe Pascale. "We just always try to give back to them any way we can."

Each dollar provides one book, distributed through the Bernies Book Bank, to children ages birth through sixth grade from low-income homes, according to the release.
"To me, pizza has always been about bringing people together, and when you share a pizza you're usually sharing stories too," said Joe Aurelio, CEO of Aurelio's Pizza. "But a lot of kids don't have access to enough books and so are missing out on stories that can enrich their lives and imaginations. This is our way to help families in our communities nurture their children with resources like great books."
