Fire Shuts Down Lincoln Highway By Frankfort Dance Club (UPDATED)
Police closed the stretch between 80th Avenue and Frankfort Square Road on Wednesday night while firefighters battled the blaze.

FRANKFORT, IL — A fire involving a dance club on the village's east side closed a stretch of Lincoln Highway between 80th Avenue and Frankfort Square Road on Wednesday night, according to an alert by Frankfort police. The roadway was shut down for a couple hours while firefighters battled the blaze, the alert stated.
A call reporting the fire in the 7900 block of Lincoln Highway went out to the Frankfort Fire District around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10. The address given in the alert concerning the blaze is for Aqua Lounge, a village night spot that is part of a strip of retail and service outlets along Lincoln Highway.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by around 10 p.m., according to a second alert from the village Wednesday. The roadway also was reopened at that time, although Frankfort firefighters and emergency crews were still cleaning up the area, according to the alert.
