Frankfort Board Approves Purchase Of EV Chargers
The Village will purchase EV chargers for the new Smith, White streets parking lots; and replace the charger at the Breidert Green lot.
FRANKFORT, IL — At its Tuesday meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved a proposal to buy and install electric vehicle chargers in the new Smith and White streets parking lots. The Board also approved replacing the existing charger at the Breidert Green parking lot.
During the meeting, Trustee Michael Leddin said the initiative uses a grant from ComEd, which provides $53,000 in funding. This would reduce the Village's cost from $72,734 to $19,404.
"The project would be completed by Veterans Energy Team, a ComED EV service provider, in partnership with Excel Electric for installation," Leddin said.
