FRANKFORT, IL — Spring officially begins Sunday, and the Frankfort Park District is celebrating by inviting the community to come out to the free inaugural Spring on the Green from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Breidert Green in downtown Frankfort.

Activities planned for the day include kid-friendly games, crafts and coloring, a balloon artist and a live DJ, according to Frankfort Park District Recreation Supervisor Cali DeBella.

"This is the first time we've done Spring on the Green," DeBella said. "We usually do the Winter on the Green series with the Village. ... It will kind of be our same Winter on the Green setup, but with more spring-like weather."
