Frankfort Village Hall Available As Cooling Center

The U.S. National Weather service has issued a heat advisory for north central and northeast Illinois, and northwest Indiana.

FRANKFORT, IL — The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday and noon-7 p.m. Wednesday, with temperatures feeling like close to 110 degrees with the heat index in some areas.

The Village of Frankfort's Village Hall, 432 W. Nebraska St., will be open as a cooling center during normal business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
